But a vehicle so I can help my son with his recovery

Hi, my name is Dani and my son's name is Noah. He is 16 months old baby boy, who is my whole world. Recently on Easter a tragic tragic event happened to him and our family. An event that will have changed him forever.

Noah was at the babysitters and I got a call from her saying he was sick and needed to go to the hospital. I don't have a car so I told her to come and pick me up and take us to the hospital. She did. Since she said he was just sick I wasn't expecting the horrific scene like it was when I got in her car.

I get in her car and he isn't breathing he is stiff he is cold he is blue. I start freaking out asking what she did to my son. She of course says nothing and that he was fine that morning. I went into straight panic mode and started hyper ventilating and hysterically crying. I told her we better hurry to the closet er because I wasn't sure that we would even make it in time to save him.

We get there and he starts having seizure after seizure goes into respiratory failure and cardiac arrest. They have to shock him with the defibrillator to bring him back. This happens a few times and then they come and tell me that they have to put a breathing tube on him which is the same thing as life support.

Life support. My baby boy. My happy healthy baby boy who was fine when he left for her house and now this? I try and find the babysitter to ask her some questions because I'm so confused about how my son got to this state and she is gone. No where to be found.

The doctors do test after test and scan after scan and determine that he has a brain bleed and needs to be transfered to children's hospital where the brain specialist for pediatrics can take care of him and hopefully save his life.

Once ar children's they test him for every disease, virus and infection possible. They do three spinal taps, three MRI and three CT scans. Everything but the MRIs come back negative. They do every X-ray there is and he doesn't have any fractured or broken bones.

They determine with his serious brain bleed on both sides of his brain and the hemorrhaging he has in both his eyes that he has a non-accidental trauma like shaken baby syndrome. So this was done purposefully to him.

I lost it. How could someone do this to something so innocent and so little? My poor baby boy.

Almost a week after being out on life support they take him off. And it is a miracle that he is breathing on his own, his eyes are open and he is alive. But he has permanent brain damage and permanent disabilities and we're not sure what all they are and what all will heal with time and therapy.

Right now my baby boy is blind. And is paralyzed on the left side of his body. He can't eat on his own and he has severe neuroirrability which means he is sensitive to touch and sound. He can't eat on his own so he has a feeding tube.

Noah and I have a long road ahead of us and I can't depend on others like I have been to get around. I am going to have so many therapy appointments and doctors appointments to have to get to for him and his recovery that I am doing something I never do and something that is hard for me. But I am asking for everyone's help on raising money for that I can get a car to be able to get everywhere I need to go required for my son's recovery.

This was not something I planned. Or wanted or ever imagined happening. My heart is broken for my son. Who will never be the same kid again because of someones selfishness and because of an evil person. I hope justice is served for my son in this so that this doesn't happen to any other innocent child like it did to mine and I hope that person is help accountable for there life threatening and life long damaging actions. Anything helps and thank you guys for the support you've given me and him through this.
