Please help my parents, Sam and Diane Bustos, during this very difficult time. As you may know the California wildfires have been spreading rapidly over the past couple of days and my parents lost nearly everything. They escaped the fire with just the clothes on their back and nothing else. They are unable to return to their home for the unforeseen future. My younger brother who also lived there was relocated to other family members house, but also lost all of his belongings. My parents have worked their whole lives all to raise 9 children (3 adopted) and a grandchild. My father served in the US Navy and is a disabled Veteran, and my mother retired after working 12 years as a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) and another 20 years as a Nurse. They had to leave 3 horses, 2 pigs, and 2 dogs behind, but luckily they all survived except for 1 pig. These animals are a part of the family and not abused, my mother just loves animals and always wanted a farm growing up. She named each and every animal and they follow her around like little kids (it’s actually very cute). While my parents cannot stay on the property, they will need to make daily trips to care for them.
