Welcome to our Go Fund Me page!
The Short Film:
'Busting Out The Bells,' is a story that is sure to lighten the heart and bring Christmas spirit to all, whilst highlighting the challenges of dementia within a family.
A wild billy-cart ride, an abundance of tinsel and an exploration of relationships which surpass any age gap or mental illness.
It's Purpose:
Alzheimer's is an issue that affects roughly 44 million people worldwide, with only a quarter of those people being accurately diagnosed. Therefore, we felt compelled to create a story about the impact of Alzheimer's on family dynamics.
The short film will also create an opportunity for our cast and crew to receive recognition for their talent. We aim to achieve this by getting the film screened at national and international film festivals.
Where Are We At?
Busting Out The Bells has already undergone a successful pre-production and production period. We are now mid-way through post-production with distribution still to come.
Through our GoFundMe campaign we aim to raise funds for 1) our crew. Making a short film requires a vast array of skill and expertise. Our crew are all industry professionals who generously volunteered their time, knowledge and abilities to make the shoot happen. We would love to repay them for their efforts.
We will also direct funds towards 2) film festival entry fees. The distrubition of a film is vital stage of the story-telling process but it is very costly. We will need to cover film festival charges for each submission in each category: i.e. Best Actor, Best Director, as well as conversion and delivery charges.
Involvement in film festivals will allow the work of our cast and crew to be showcased on a national and international scale, and viewed by countless industry professionals.
