Buster's Recovery: A Little Cat's Big Need

Donation protected
UPDATE 4/14/2025: Sadly, she hasn't made it :( The procedures and the trauma were all just too much for her little body. We are truly heartfelt with thanks for all who cared, sent messages, or donated. She was a special little girl, who deserved more time. But we gave her six years of love and life.

Hello, we are Jim and Zetta, and this is out little cat, Buster. Buster was a tiny thee-week-old abandoned kitten I rescued from the parking lot at work six years ago. A couple of weeks ago she was attacked by another cat in our own back yard and needed extensive surgery which has unfortunately led to some complications, removing dead/dying skin, meaning further surgeries/procedures will be required and possibly specialist surgery/skin grafting.

Right now she has a 10" Y-shaped hole in her stomach which sadly just reopened because it wasn't healing properly, and because of the removal of so much dead/dying skin the vet says there's not enough left to stretch enough to heal properly. We do have insurance on her, but after deductible and uncovered amounts we're well out of pocket and facing further out of pocket.

I won't give up on her, and I'll spend whatever I need to help her. Anything you can do for us to make this easier to manage will be greatly appreciated. Any funds not used for her will be donated to the vet's Benevolent Fund to help other pet owners.
