Buster’s Next Wheelie Great Adventure: Operation Zoomies
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
As some of you know, my sweet Buster’s health has been declining over the past year. Despite months of treatments—including medications, rehab, laser therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic care—his mobility has continued to worsen.
To get a definitive diagnosis, Buster would need an MRI, bloodwork, and a spinal tap. Unfortunately, the MRI requires full anesthesia and intubation, which is incredibly risky for a dog his age. After consulting with our amazing rehab vet, we decided not to put him through those procedures—especially since the results likely wouldn’t change his treatment unless surgery were involved. Instead, we’re focusing on what matters most: giving Buster the best quality of life we can.
This journey has been incredibly emotional and financially challenging. Buster still needs ongoing care, including medications and regular laser and acupuncture treatments. Most urgently, he needs a dog wheelchair. Right now, he can’t move around on his own, and it breaks my heart to see him try to play or explore, only to be held back by his body. A wheelchair would help him regain some independence, freedom, and joy.
I want nothing more than to see Buster live out his days in comfort and happiness. If you’re able to donate—no matter the amount—it would mean the world to us. Your generosity will go directly toward his continued care and the wheelchair that could change his life.
If we’re fortunate enough to raise more than we need, I would love to give back to the compassionate team at Animal Wellness & Rehabilitation Clinic in Knoxville, who have been a lifeline for us both.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Buster’s story, and for being part of his journey. Your love and support truly mean everything.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Emily and Buster Brown
