Buster Browns Thyroid Cancer Treatment

Buster Brown came into our lives about 6 years ago. He is about 7 years old. He was found as a stray, was very thin, exhausted and covered in fleas. The first day I got him he slept on my lap for hours. He is a very anxious dog , and has to be by my side at all times when I'm home. I always joke that I am his emotional support person. He is a very important part of our family. He is very loved by myself, my 10 year old son, and his fur sister Mollie Mae. A few months back I thought I saw a lump in his throat and then didnt notice it again to recently. When he sits or lays certain ways it is not noticeable. Then a few weeks back I was certain that he did have something there. I took him into my regular vet and they did a cytology , and radiograph and confirmed it was cancer. They then reccommended I take him to an oncologist. I have already maxed out my care credit at the $2,700 limit between my regular vet and his consultation and ct scan at the oncologist. This alone is a major financial burden. He is scheduled to have surgery on Wednesday and it is estimated to be $3,428- $4,000. Then most likely 3.5 weeks of radiation costing $6,515-$6,775. I am applying for grants but some will not cover radiation. I have already been blessed with one and Im hoping to save it to use towards radiation. Anyone that knows me, knows I give a great amount of time helping animals in need. No amount is too small and just sharing this and most importantly keeping Buster Brown in your prayers. Thank you!
