Buster and Nugget were hit by a car this morning on Frankston Cranbourne Rd.
The driver of the car did not stop and both dogs, thanks to some beautiful passer's by, are being treated at the animal emergency centre in Frankston.
Nugget has 2 broken legs and will need orthopaedic surgery and Buster is still fighting for his life with a collapsed lung, head injury and internal bleeding.
Lisa, their owner, is having to cope with this while her partner is on deployment and the stress of financials is the last thing she needs right now.
Vet bills can be beyond crippling, and on Australia Day of all days, I feel for those who would like - it would be in the spirit to assist the owners of these beautiful babies in what is going to be a pretty hefty bill.
