Busted Aggie Ring Dunk
Donation protected
Like hundreds of Texas A&M Aggies, Whoop! my granddaughters got their Aggie Rings last Saturday. We had rented a house for the Ring Dunk from Airbnb in Bryan. My granddaughters are good Christian girls, and most of the friends they invited were good Christian girls. Well, about 8:30 PM, a police officer knocked on the door and served my daughter a ticket for being too noisy. Yes, friends got excited by my granddaughters as they dunked their rings, which took about 2 minutes, and as proud Aggies, that was followed up with the most memorable singing of the Aggie War Hymn by all the friends.
Now, our whole family supports the police; my own father was a policeman. But what we did not know is that Bryan has a no tolerance for noise, no matter how short or how loud. It is an automatic fine. My daughter called and found out the ticket was for $335, and if she wanted to protest it, she would have to take off from work, drive 3 hours to Bryan court, and incur court costs of up to $500! Well, that just wasn’t going to happen.
So, despite the fact we were trying to be good neighbors in our rented house, I am going to pay the fine for my daughter. If you, as an Aggie, or friend of an Aggie, would like to be a part of this Aggie Ring Dunk by your support of Aggie Ring Dunks everywhere, please donate any amount, no matter how small or large. If more than $335 is raised, the balance will be donated to Grace Church College Ministry in College Station. Thank you for your support! Whoop!
