As some of you may have already heard, Pat Finnegan's strength and determination has been put to the test. On Saturday, January 9, an unfortunate accident occurred while working. Pat was hit in the head by a piece of steel while grabbing a branch with his pole saw. He was no where near the steel that eventually hit him and never saw it coming. The pipe's impact had him sustain multiple injuries to his neck. His loving family; Angela, his wife, his son Quinlan (19) and daughters Teagan (12), Delanie (10) and Mollie (10) are all concerned about their husband/father.
After the accident, Pat was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he currently remains. The family was notified that he was in need of surgery to repair broken bones in his neck. While they are not 100% comfortable with the surgeon, they are looking to have him transferred into another physicians care. This is a very strenuous situation, as it is, but having to deal with COVID restrictions makes it all the more difficult.
Pat is the main breadwinner for their family working both for the Town of Huntington and running "Quinlan's Tree Services". This dedicated provider will be out of work for sometime while he recovers from this horrible accident and this leaves the family in a burdensome position .
At this time, we ask that all those that are able to offer the Finnegans some relief please do so through this GoFundMe page during this time of difficulty. As the days go on, please keep each of them in your prayers. Thank you for your support and we or Angela will keep you posted in regards Pat's progress.
