Help us finish our drive upgrade, no more potholes!

Bushy Wood is a popular and thriving outdoor activity centre, used by thousands of young people every year for outdoor activity and adventure, as well as by a wide range of other organisations for training and development, and by the local community just enjoying the great outdoors!

Our centre is owned by Eastbourne District Scout Council, registered charity 305846, we are a small charity, with limited resources.

We have committed to upgrading our main drive and carpark, as increased usage of the centre, coupled with increased frequency of extreme weather events, is constantly potholing the surface of our drive, which renders it both unpleasant to use and risks the safety of both vehicles and pedestrians.

We are laying a new concrete drive in sections; due to the need to cater for coaches and goods vehicles we have to use a high specification concrete, which is extremely expensive, but it is a very long lasting solution.

Each 10m x 4m pad of concrete is costing approximately £1200, so we need all the help we can get to fund this huge project.

To keep costs down, all of the work is being carried out by our hardworking volunteers and staff.

We have now completed over 80 metres, (and our guests have been enjoying that new section!) but we have easily another 200 metres to go!

We have been raising funds from a variety of different sources, and this gofundme has been launched to give individuals an opportunity to help us acheive our goal of a completed concrete drive!
