Bush to Brewery Nursery, reclaiming ownership of Bush Food
Donation protected
Native Botanical Brewery has always prided itself on crafting unique beverages using our First Nation Australian bush foods.
As the demand for our products have increased with recent corporate contracts, a more sustainable local supply chain is needed for us to maintain the flow within our production.
Inspired by the potential opportunity to be with family and community more on country creating local economic benefit through wages is a huge lure.
Our founder and owner Corey Grech often spends his free time with his 3 kids harvesting bush food from a number of locations on the Central Coast (Darkinjung Country) a consistent and more reliable source of ingredients is essential.
Native Botanical Brewery have recently partnered with Awabakal Aboriginal Lands Council on future project that will impact access to land and cultural advocacy from traditional land owners and a cultural authority organization.
The vision is clear - obvious almost, but to bring all of this together we need some FUNDS
With these funds our team will secure one of multiple properties available to us and train our team in bush food horticulture, ensure local traditional methods are at our core and in all honestly try to live more aligned to one of our business ethos's, being "Reground Yourself" meaning shoes off.. feet in the dirt and being present.
We will be focusing on funding roughly
-Wages $2200,000 (2 people full time)
-Seedlings $60,000
-Water Security $120,000 (including 1 person part time and tank irrigation)
-Expert Advise and Training $30,000 (2+ advisors eg.... Bruce Pascoe, Uncle Ray Kelly
-Technology and Harvesting Equipment $70,000
