This is Boaz!

Boaz is a big tough boy of 13 years old. Boaz was born as what appeared to be a healthy boy who loved to run and jump - until he was 2.5 years old and fell a lot without any obvious reason. Only after 7 years of research we were told that Boaz has SMA type 3 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Because of this condition Boaz is dependent on a wheelchair.

Until recently, Boaz was able to take a few steps with support and was therefore also able to make a transfer in our "regular" passenger car - until he broke his thigh in an unfortunate fall on the toilet at school on August 26th. We can now (literally) no longer travel as a family and we also depend on taxi transport to go to the various hospitals and treatment centers. An adapted vehicle (wheelchair bus) is needed to do all of this, but unfortunately this is too expensive for us to purchase.

Although we find it very difficult to ask, we have now set up a crowdfunding because we just want to be able to go somewhere as a family again.
