Hi we are The Sweeney Family in Kildare Town and our sister Teresa Geslin, who lives in France is looking for your help again. A few years ago you donated very generously to a wonderful project her son took part in in bringing food, clothing and educational supplies to an orphanage in Morocco. Through the 4l trophy project in France, they drove Renault 4l cars through the desert where the Irish Flag was printed pride of place on the bonnet of his car.
We would again love to see our Irish Flag represent the generosity of the Irish people with our Burundi project Buy A Brick. Burundi is one of the poorest countries in the world. 44% of its population is under the age of 15 years old !!! For decades its has suffered ethnic and political violence but is now working to rebuild peace and stability. The project we want to help with is building a Centre for Reconciliation where the youth of Burundi can come to learn life skills in a safe and welcoming environment. The link Teresa has in Burundi is with an the most amazing and compassionate Priest Fr Guy. He was her Parish Priest in France but even more so has remained a very good friend. He travels to Burundi for months on end to help with this project.
How can you help: We are asking everyone to 'Buy A Brick' to help build this Centre. All donations received will effectively help to build the bricks of this wonderful Reconciliation Centre.
We would greatly appreciate any support you can give. If you can't give financially that's totally understandable, perhaps you could help by sharing instead.
You can follow our progress and get more information on our Facebook page at Burundi Buy A Brick
Thank you all
