Co-fund bursary places at Two Hands Preschool
Donation protected
Hello,
We are the trustees of Two Hands Educational Trust, a not-for-profit organisation that was set up to co-fund and oversee the bursary places at Two Hands Preschool.
In the UK, poorer children start school significantly behind their peers. The gap widens as children progress through the education system – particularly during secondary school.
Research has shown consistently that early years education is a key part of the solution: Done well, it has a positive, long-term impact on a child's academic attainment, their health and well-being.
Two Hands Preschool offers high quality education and full-time care, to support working parents. Guided by latest research in early childhood education, children are taught in small classes, led by fully qualified, graduate teachers.
1 in 5 places at Two Hands Preschool are bursary places reserved for children from low-income families. Each bursary place is fully funded, so families can access everything Two Hands has to offer without any costs to pay. Each bursary place offers the dual benefit of the child accessing high quality early years education and their parent(s) accessing full-time childcare to enable them to work.
As part of its commitment to building a fair and inclusive society,Two Hands Preschool offers bursary places to Two Hands Educational Trust at a 50% discount, thus operating each place at a considerable loss to the preschool. At the current fees, Two Hands Educational Trust needs to raise £13,890 to match the £13,890 contributed by the preschool for each 12-month bursary place. We are currently fundraising for 4 bursary places.
Thank you for anything you can give to help change a child's life.
