This GoFundMe is set up on behalf of Colleen Marbles and her dearly beloved hairless cat, Burrito. Burrito passed away on December 10, 2022, at age 11, after struggling with heart failure for the past couple of months. Colleen has not only been left with a hole in her heart but a hole in her wallet. We want to help alleviate some of that burden and financial stress in this sad and difficult time.

A message from Colleen written two days before Burrito's eventual passing:

I’m writing to request help with my vet bills for my beloved Sphynx cat, Burrito. She retired from sex work (breeder cat) at the age of three, and she has been my primary partner since.

A few weeks ago, I noticed she was breathing heavily, so I rushed her to the vet. She went into cardiac failure and nearly died.

My vet got her out of failure and then transferred Burrito to Sage Veterinary Center for overnight care. Burrito is currently thriving and vibing on six pills a day and a prescription cat diet.

I feel so lucky to have been able to save her the way she has saved me! But as a practising relationship anarchist working for a nonprofit in the Bay Area, my single income isn’t enough to pay for it. So I’m asking my community for help with this debt so I don’t get stuck in an endless cycle of credit card interest bullshit.
