Help With Burnie's Vet Bills

HELP WITH BURNIE'S VET BILLS!

If you've spent any time around Building 22 at The Venue, you've probably come across this cat.  We call him Burnie because of the battle scars (possibly burns) on his nose.  He's got a funky smile, has fathered multiple kittens, but he's always willing to be pet.

You may have noticed in the past few weeks, Burnie's gotten a bad limp and doesn't put any weight on his front-right paw.  He's powered through multiple Phoenix summers, but having a busted front-right paw might do him in.

On Friday, June 5th, we were able to get him into a cat carrier.  He spent the night in our bathroom.  We made an appointment with the Arizona Humane Society and were able to take Burnie in at 1pm on Saturday, June 6th.

Key takeaways from the vet visit:
-Right Front Leg appears to be fractured
-Old wounds and scabs to face and neck
-Healing wound on left corner of mouth
    -Stomatitis

Stomatitis is a disease that cats can get that causes inflammation of the gums.  It's closely related to gingivitis.  It's also untreatable.  The goal of the Arizona Humane Society is to fix homeless animals and be able to adopt them out.  A cat with stomatitis would be difficult to adopt out.

The choice was either euthanize Burnie or bring him back home.

We still think he can live a good life if it wasn't for that broken leg.  We want to get that fixed.  We want to get him neutered.  As anyone with pets knows, vet care can be pricey sometimes.

The plan is to get him neutered, get that leg fixed and put him back outside where he seems most comfortable.  We've got another vet appointment scheduled for him on Tuesday, June 9th at Arrow Animal Hospital at 5130 W Thunderbird Rd, Glendale, AZ 85306.  Some vets are backlogged for weeks.  That's why the vet location is so far away.  As of right now, this is as soon as we can get him checked out.

ANY MONETARY DONATION TO HELP BURNIE GET BETTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

The $2000 is just an arbitrary number we picked.  Like I said, we've got a vet appointment lined up for Tuesday.  We'll of course keep everyone updated.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
