Burned Family Apartment in Woodside, Queens

During the early morning hours of this past Monday, a devastating fire erupted in the sanctuary that we called our family home. This has rendered my family homeless, and although thankfully no one was physically harmed, priceless memories were destroyed.

My family had been tenants of 39-06 63rd Street, Apt 5B dating back 30 years, and it is an integral part of our history. These memories now lie amidst the debris of a collapsed roof. My mother and my sister were the current inhabitants of the destroyed apartment, and it has caused them immense pain to see it gone. My mother has lost everything she had ever worked for, and my sister has lost the only home she has ever known. However, with your help and the help of our community, we hope to persevere.

We are asking for donations to assist with the cost of relocation, replacement of school supplies/uniforms, food, clothing, and the essentials of living.
