My nephew Brandon was using a soldering torch on April 7 and a battery nearby exploded, knocking him out and severely burning nearly 20% of his body with acid, plastic and flames.  He drove himself to the hospital, where he was flown to a burn center in Nevada for third degree burns. He is in excruciating plain and will undergo several surgeries over the next month or more to graft healthy skin to the burned areas.  He will not be able to work for several months and will have tens of thousands in medical bills.
