Burn pile mishap causes serious injury
Donation protected
Hi, My name is Cheri and I’m fundraising for my son Jason Hensel.
Just a few short days ago, September 5, 2022 we received a call from my daughter in law, Kim telling us they were on their way to the emergency room. Jason had been badly burned while tending to a large burn pile in their yard. I could hear Jason in the background crying out from the pain (which breaks a mothers heart)! It had been raining pretty hard and he slipped in the mud falling face forward into the fire. He badly burned his face and forearm’s. His shirt caught fire but he was able to drop to the ground and get it put out.
The local emergency room transferred him to a larger, better equipped Hospital an hour and half away. They discharged Jason after treating him and referred him to a burn specialist , also an hour and half away who he saw today 9/9/22. During the healing process seeing the burn specialist will be on going for sometime.
For those of you who know Jason and Kim, they never ask for anything. They have an open door policy for anyone in need. Jason is one of the hardest working people I know and a great provider for his family. Being self employed and not able to work right now, no insurance and 4 kids at home with these medical bills piling up… he needs help!
When my husband (who is paralyzed) and I have been in need, Jason and Kim are always right there to help whether financially or however they are able.
Now that they are in need and always selflessly giving of themselves, it is my prayer that they can receive the help they need and deserve!
Thank you for whatever you are able to do and may God bless you!
