Burlington Stands by Waukesha

Tax deductible
As I watched the events unfold in Waukesha and recoiled, I couldn't help but think about how this could have been Burlington. Similar communities 25 miles apart, full of good people and good families, and our Christmas parade just around the corner. I think about how incredibly generous people and other communities were during our tragedies; the 2017 flood, the Echo Lake Foods and Schuette-Daniels fires, and others.

Now it's our chance to help our neighbors up in Waukesha.

Join Burlington Alderman Jon Schultz, his family, and the greater Burlington Community in raising money to benefit those impacted by the Christmas Parade tragedy in Waukesha.

All funds raised via the fundraiser are set to deliver directly to the Waukesha County Community Foundation. The Waukesha County Community Foundation (https://waukeshafoundation.org) and United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County have joined together to create the "United for Waukesha Community Fund." This fund will support the needs of the families impacted from the tragic incident at the annual Waukesha Christmas Parade.

Watch for additional updates about possible opportunities to give *during* Burlington's upcoming Christmas Parade on Friday, December 3 as well as other steps we may be taking to help our neighbors to the north.
