Hurricane Matthew Flood Home Fund

Hi Everyone.  We are Jake and Matt Burleson.  This is us the day after Hurricane Matthew left about 10 inches of water in our parents house (Chuck and Jenny-known to our friends as "Mom and Pop").  This is the house we grew up in, here in Virginia Beach.  Our parents raised us here and they always help us and it's our time to help them!  It was sad ripping up all of the soaked carpet and padding, seeing the waterline that was on all of the walls, ripping out flooring from the walk ways and bathrooms.  Removing every piece of furniture that we could pick up, outside to air out.  The flood waters just came in and there was nothing any of us could do.  State Farm's (HURRICANE INSURANCE) will not cover the flood damage. Yes, WILL NOT COVER the flood damage.  Even further, the government will not consider Virginia a disaster area (YET), so FEMA will not help.  The water saturated EVERY wall and the entire house has to have 2 feet of drywall cut up from the foundation and replaced after a company comes in and dries out the entire place out.  Every piece of furnature is soaked, mattresses and all of the wood in the house is waterlogged and ruined. Mold and mildew had already started to set in, just from one day!  The money raised/withdrawn will be used to help Chuck and Jenny pay contractors to dry out the house, rebuild the house, help them try to move on and live life.  Right now they will be staying with my brother and I's families, so they don't get sick and so that a company can start dehumidifying the house out. My family would be extremely greatful for any help that can be given and would definitely see the help paid forward.
