Burkina Faso - A light gone too soon…
Donation protected
It is with deep sadness and a profound sense of loss that we share the news of Burkina Faso – daughter to Deborah Hailu, granddaughter to Alganesh Adhanom, and a friend to so many who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Burkina was a beaming light who radiated love and joy, illuminating every space she set foot in. She was brilliant with a heart full of love. She was a quintessential artist with an inquisitive nature, full of sweet purity and soft-heartedness. She was insightful, a consummate seeker and had her whole life ahead of her. Her presence was already missed immensely by her mother, family, and community while she was on this earth - but all held out hope that she would return back to us. Her transition from this physical realm to the spiritual is something for which there are no words.
We are organizing this fundraiser to help the family with funeral expenses to lay our beloved daughter Burkina to rest. Burkina’s family is arranging to have a living tree burial in a memorial forest to perpetually honor Burkina’s memory.
We are grateful for the overwhelming outpouring of love, support, generosity, and prayers. Any financial support you can offer is deeply appreciated. Please give only what you can.
There will never be enough words to express the light that is Burkina. She will forever be loved and missed.
