Burkett Center serves multi-handicapped children throughout Jefferson County. Many of the children experience sensory overload and have difficulties learning how to cope with our world. Simple shopping trips, family visits or church become stressfull, overwhelming events. Currently, the Burkett Center has a space to create a gentle, rich learning tool for these many children in need, however it is not equipped. These special furnishings are very expensive!
We have secured a grant from Hidden Angel that will match our funds raised and they will design & install the materials, BUT we must first raise the money!
Please help our PTA and donate so that we can give these extra-special kids the tools they need to succeed. This is a charitable organization and reciepts can be provided upon request.
