Phil is the most strong, loving, and devoted husband to his wife Katie and father to his four children—Natalie, Olivia, Nathan, and Caden . To know Phil is to know his heart: tough as they come on the rugby field (they don’t call it “Burke Touch” for nothing!) but a gentle giant off of it, who lights up every room with his laughter, kindness, and energy.

He’s the kind of dad who never misses a walk with his family and their dogs—his “main girl,” Queenie, and his beloved Mason, who has sadly passed but will always be part of his heart—or a chance to be there for his kids. He’s worked tirelessly to provide the best life for his family and was thriving in his most recent job, which he was so proud of.

Tragically, while working, Phil was struck by a truck. He is now on life support in a medically induced coma, fighting with everything in him. His injuries are severe—multiple facial fractures, brain bleeding, and a collapsed lung—but if there’s one thing everyone who knows Phil will tell you, it’s that he is a fighter.

Phil is also a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan who never misses a chance to cheer for his team. We can’t wait to see the Bills bring home that Super Bowl ring—something we know Phil would be overjoyed to celebrate. As Josh Allen says: “Be good, do good, God bless, and GO BILLS” ♥️.
