Burial for Simone Lewis after tragic accident

Late Saturday night a short time after 11pm, my beautiful daughter Simone Denise Regina Lewis was crossing the street at 41st St. & McDowell when she was struck by a man who had been drinking The man was cited with DUI and released to go home while my beautiful daughter, unrecognizable was dying in the hospital. My baby will never get to see her 18 month old daughter Skky grow up and Skky will not know who her mother was except through the memories we will pass on to her, all because this man chose to drink and get behind the wheel impaired.
To say this has absolutely devastated us as a family is an understatement. The grief as a mother to have to bury their child, their 1st born, their best friend; for Skky to never know her mother and being bombarded with how I will answer her when she is old enough to ask where her mommy is, those are thoughts I can't even fathom at this point. For her little sister Melody to not have her big sister to turn to for advice on growing up, to lose her confidant that comes with being sisters. I'm still grieving the loss of my mother less than a year ago. This is all too much for us to bare. To make this tradegy even more desperate, we are about to lose our apartment and the funeral home will not do anything until we can pay for the services to lay my daughter to rest. I don't normally make everything so public, but I am at a loss to what to do. This is one of those times I need my community to come and walk beside me. I need help because I can't do this on my own, especially as a single mother...and now I will be starting all over raising my granddaughter. Anything will help, and myself and my family are truly grateful and appreciate anything you are able to contribute. Please keep us in your prayers as this is unbelievable pain that we are struggling with.
