Burial for Nigel Ervin
Donation protected
On September 16, 2018 we lost a beautiful soul to suicide, his battle with depression had won at the young age of 25 and this has devastated our family and has left us lost and shocked. Nigel was a son, a brother, a father, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend. He was an amazing father and an upbeat introverted type of guy. He was funny (sometimes hilarious), he posted frequently on Facebook and spoke to his family and friends regularly. Unfortunately, he was struggling with his own inner demons that we had little knowledge of. His death was so sudden we didn't have the time to prepare emotionally or financially. The amount of resources that we have geared towards depression is not sufficient for young to middle aged adults, especially males. You need insurance or a substantial amount of money for short or long term therapy sessions. If the root of your depression is caused by financial strain, an undesirable living situation, family problems, employment issues, education... whatever the case may be therapy can only help you with so much and there should be resources that help with the root of the problem that is accessible to you no matter your age or gender. Today we're asking for any donation to help with the burial and the immediate financial support for his daughter. September is Suicide Prevention Month, please check on your friends and family. Ask them how they're doing. Let them know that they have an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on and a person who cares.
