Burial expenses of our beloved Christopher Gent
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rovahnda Tate, and I would like to share that our beloved Christopher passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. It was nothing but God's grace and mercy that Christopher lived to celebrate his 19th Birthday this past March.
When Christopher was in the 8th grade at Kiser Middle School in Greensboro, NC, he was involved in a life-changing accident while doing what he loved, riding his bicycle. Christopher suffered a traumatic brain injury that resulted in his living the past five years bed-ridden, on ventilation support with little brain activity.
As a mother and teacher at Kiser at the time, Christopher's accident led me to help support his family with their needs throughout the past years. His mother, grandmother and I have prayed together, shed tears, spent nights at Baptist Hospital, and been a support to one another and Christopher. We will always be family.
His mother, April, has been by his side, turning their home into his permanent medical facility and attending to his 24-hour care until his death. Due to being one of Christopher's trained caregivers when his medical team was not on hand-April could not work nor keep a consistent full-time job to support her family for the past five years financially. It was April's love for her son and belief in God that Christopher deserved to live until God was ready for him in Heaven. She sacrificed her life's needs and job opportunities to be on hand to care for Christoper.
Young Christopher deserves a proper burial, but his mother needs financial support to cover his funeral and burial expenses. Please help April, Ms. Jackie, and Chrislyn-his mother, grandmother, and sister send our Christopher off by donating towards his burial fund. All funds raised will go directly toward funeral expenses at Johnson & Son Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC.
On behalf of April and Christopher's family-I truly appreciate your generosity in advance.
