Burial Costs For Jim "Crash" Irons
Donation protected
UPDATE: We have reached our goal but are keeping the fundraising open. There will likely be unforeseen costs with making final preparations and anything raised will be used to cover those.
We lost our friend Jim Irons, known to everyone as Crash, a few weeks ago and it has come time to send him on his final journey.
Crash was one of a kind, a guy with a huge heart, a huge laugh, a huge smile. He was interested in everything and loved hanging out with people and listening to them. He loved Jumbos. Loved The Snake Pit. Loved The Simpsons, Star Wars, and just movies in general. He was a big kid that never grew up and he lived life on his own terms. He wasn't perfect - he'd be the first to tell you that - and as he would say himself, sometimes he could be kind of a jerk, but he was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back and drop anything at anytime to help anyone, anywhere. He was a good man and he will be missed.
Crash' final wishes were to be cremated (something tells me he would say "that's so cool") and we want to honor that wish. He had very little family left, but to those who loved him, he was just that, family. So we are passing the hat to anyone who would like to donate a small amount to help send him on his way. I suspect he would have liked to know that the people who loved him helped him out right to the very end.
We recognize the strike has been (and in many ways still is being) hard on everyone so give what you can and if you aren't in a position to donate, we understand and simply ask that you help us out by spreading this around to others who may want to help.
Thanks for your consideration.
