When I began dating Michael back in spring 2015 we were just your typical high school seniors, or so I thought. I soon found out that Michael had a lot more pressure on him than any average teen should have to endure. His father was sick and ended up dying on April 30, 2015. The night before our senior prom. Michael being the incredibly strong person he is, didn't tell me his father had passed until after prom because he didn't want to ruin our special night. As expected he and his mother struggled a bit financially and Michael quit school to work full time to help support them. It is very heavy on my heart that I am saying Michaels mom, Ann is now suffering from an inoperable brain tumor. We are all trying to keep a positive attitude but doctors keep delivering bad news. Ann was supposed to have surgery today, May 1st, 2017 (almost two years from her husbands death) to remove part of her tumor, but the doctors informed her after a day of tests and pre- surgery info done last Friday, they can no longer operate. Her tumor had grown and continues to rapidly grow. This is the most devastating blow as we had hoped she would be able to start chemo and radiation. I'm not sure what the next steps will be, but her prognosis is not good. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know Michael faces many challenges ahead.
