Valencia County Mercy Mission

Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Center is New Mexico's largest no kill animal shelter. A key part of our mission is to work in partnership with high kill municipal shelters from across the state. We received a call for help from the Valencia County shelter this week. Of the 31 dogs (and 8 cats) that were pulled all are in need of medical treatments. They all require shots, microchipping and spay or neuter. Several need more serious medical care. Rocky was attacked by another dog and is severely under weight, Gypsy has a broken leg that will need a pin and time to recover, Rizzo has a eye infection and needs a soft place to land.
