Aloha!  We are raising money for  these 2 beautiful souls!  These 2 are mommy and son!  And they both have ran into medical issues which has caused Trista to quit her job as a preschool teachers assistant to (1) Care for her son & (2) to care for herself.
Lets talk a little about Trista.  Trista was born in 1984.  She was a premature baby that ran  into medical issues from birth!  She has overcome a lot thus far.
In 2009 after giving birth to twins, she had her 1st major surgery. She contracted Clostridium Difficile (AKA C. Diff) which is a bacteria that causes inflammation of the colon.  Trista had a major resection of the large intestine which caused 70% of her large intestine to be removed.  A colostomy bag was put in place for 6 months until she was well enough to have her 2nd major  surgery to reconnect her large intestine to her colon.  It was a blessing that the surgeon was able to perform this surgery.
They then moved to California, she had another Gastrointestinal (GI) complication in May 2016, called duodenal volvulus/Sigmod Volvulus, where a portion of her intestine becomes painfully twisted.  A more simple description of this condition is called a bowel obstruction.  Another complication at this same time was a lower GI hemorrhage.   They needed to do surgery again and untwist her intestine.
Trista had another surgery done  May 2018 for similar GI complications as 2016.
In May 2019, Trista headed back to the hospital again for upper GI hemorrhage and a hole in her large intestine which caused her to be in Septic Shock.  This was the hardest battle thus far as she fought for her life in ICU for 2 weeks.  Trista has only 10% of her large intestine left and drs say if she has another GI incident she will need to live with a colostomy bag for the remainder of her life.  Trista is now home and healing from her major surgery.

Jamisen Joseph is Tristas son of 13 years old and he was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome which is a rare disorder that affects the connective tissues such as the lungs, heart, eyes, blood vessels etc.  This is an incurable condition which Jamisen will live with for the rest of his life.
His first surgery was March 2019, to remove Blebs (aka small air pockets that sits between the lung and outter surface of the lung)  When the bleb bursts the air escapes into the chest cavity causing a pneumothorax which can result in a collapsed lung.  Jamisen had a chest tube in place to remove the air from his lungs.  The dr also removed a portion of his lung and also scrapped his lung wall to create scar tissue to prevent the his lung from fully collapsing.
Jamisens second surgery was in April 2019, right before his mom went into ICU.  He had the same surgery done plus  a more intense scrapping of his lung.
Jamisen will also be seeing a Cardiologist since his aorta valve was dialated and he had an abnormal heartbeat.  If he has chest pains again, he will need heart surgery so the drs are also keeping an eye on that.    He went in for a 3rd time but he now knows the symptoms and they caught it before his lungs could collapse. He still needed to have oxygen to help push out the air from his lung.  Jamisen is home and taking it easy!  This is a life long condition and being a boy of just 13 years old, this is difficult for him as he can no longer over exert himself.  Jamisen played the trumpet for 2 years and now he can't.   He is limited to ride a bike or run to play with his friends and sisters. Climbing a tree which he loved to do is no longer allowed.

At this time Ryan, Tristas husband, is the sole provider for his family.  Family has been helping but the medical bills, and all other bills:food, mortgage, etc are piling up so we are asking for help for this wonderful family!
100% of monies raised will go to Trista and Ryan.  We would like to Thank You all for your donations.   Lots of Love!!!
