At a recent Firefighter 1 training, the Garfield Volunteer Fire Department was informed that all of their bunker gear is out of date and not compliant. Most of their gear dates back to the 1990s. One set of bunker gear runs around $2,400 and there are currently 9 volunteer firefighters, which adds up very quickly. The department has a limited budget that is predominately used for fuel and truck maintenance. All members of the department are volunteers and at a moment's notice drop what they are doing to help others. Let's show them we care about them and want to keep them safe! Any donation is greatly appreciated! All proceeds will go directly to the Garfield Volunteer Fire Department for the purchase of new bunker gear.
