Help family after bullying leads to broken jaw.
Don protégé
On 9/22 tragedy struck our family. Our son, Seth, who is 15 years old, was attending a football rally at a High School in San Jose, California. He was on the phone when a group of boys surrounded him and one of them sucker punched him! Seth ran as the assailant followed him off the school campus to CVS where the employees helped him call 911.
He sustained horrific injuries of a broken jaw in multiple places resulting in emergency surgery at Stanford Medical Center, where he currently remains. They had to insert 3 metal plates and pull 2 teeth with 32 stitches done by 6 Doctors - 3 Neurosurgeons, 2 Orthopedic Surgeons and a regular surgeon. Despite his pain, his first thought after waking up was to reassure his family and thank them for being there for him.
He is in extreme pain, he will be unable to open his mouth or move his jaw for a minimum of 6 weeks. He will undergo multiple repairs and reconstructive surgeries in the coming weeks with months of recovery, missed school and dealing with the trauma of this tragic event.
Seth is a great kid, he has never been in any trouble, he rides dirt bikes, he is a good student, he is close with his family. This is a terrible life changing event for him and his family.
We are facing outrageous medical bills and asking for any help you can give. We are very grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support shown over the past few weeks and, undoubtedly, in months to come. We sincerely thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated.
