My name is Sherry Burford.

Our Douglas County Deputy Sheriff’s Office relies heavily on highly trained K-9 officers. These dogs go into very dangerous situations to help keep us safe. They run toward danger without hesitation. Often times they are doing this without adequate protection.

On behalf of the citizens of Douglas County, I am launching a GoFundMe so that we can raise money to get these brave K-9 officers the protection they need: a bulletproof vest designed specifically for the working dog. Every donation, however small, makes a huge difference. The money goes straight to The Douglas County Deputy Sheriff Foundation.
