Building429 Bus Wreck
Donation protected
Over the past 20 years of ministry Building429 has had some amazing opportunities to share the hope of Jesus with thousands around the world. We’ve truly experienced what it means to live in the peaks and in the valleys and through it all we’ve found two things to be true…the Lord is with us and you, are fans have always been a source of strength.
Recently, as many of you know, we've experienced a rather traumatic accident hitting an unoccupied and unseen truck that had somehow launched from a trailer onto our side of the interstate. The resulting crash was a scary event that changed a routine night’s sleep en route to our next show to a first responder situation. The unoccupied truck we hit continued a chain reaction of others cars being hit, one of which left one man, we know now as Senica, unresponsive until Aaron arrived to deliver aid, followed closely by Glenn our bus driver along with Jesse and Jason.Friends, the scene was chaotic but Senica became responsive by the time the fire department and ambulances arrived to cut him out of the car and take him to the hospital. Thankfully his injuries were not life threatening!
We began to realize the extent of the losses balanced by the realization that we were so blessed to be okay physically. The bus was not as fortunate. It was nearly undrivable, but in an effort to make it to our shows we found a way to temporarily make it work, and then finally home.
We've always felt it our responsibility to "figure things out" and that the Lord has provided…to this we’ve been faithful. However, we’ve recently had multiple friends and spiritual advisors tell us that now is the time to bring our struggles to you, our friends, the B429 Family...and lean on the body of Christ through Go Fund Me. Throughout scripture we read that "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” We humble ourselves now and ask for grace and for the support of our friends.
Our insurance will help with the bus repairs but the bus payment is still due, along with the deductible, and the cost of another bus rental for the foreseeable future. We estimate the minimum amount of our expenses to be approximately $30,000.
We cannot stress how much we have tried to make a Go Fund Me a last resort. We’ve prayed about this, set aside our pride and now share with you that we honestly need your help. Thank you in advance! We love you all!!
Humbly,
Building429
