¡Building my dream! ¡Construyendo mi sueño!

My mom came from Honduras to this country with high hopes in her heart.

That was many years ago, and I have grown up with those dreams and hopes too. I’m about to finish High School and I desire to study for an Associate degree in Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America, one of the most important culinary universities in the United States and will become to have an economic investment costly; honestly, it is not in my hands to pay for it. The culinary arts go beyond preparing a plate of food, it is a creative and original way of preparing food and it is precisely an art. In addition, it teaches us to know the culture of different countries through their food, taste, smell, and everything that awakens our senses and transports us to those cultures.

I recently had the honor of participating in "Skills USA Connecticut", a competition of the highest level where all the Connecticut technical schools in Connecticut participated, where I successfully obtained 1st place in the culinary competition.

Today I want to make you all part of this dream and it’s why I’m writing this post, you can help me invest in my university career by donating what you feel in your heart to support me in my studies. I’m sure that you will not regret supporting your server because I believe in my dream and I know that I will achieve it with your help.

Mi madre llegó desde Honduras a este país, con muchas esperanzas en su corazón. De eso hace ya muchos años, y yo he crecido con esos sueños y esperanzas también. Estoy a punto de terminar la educación secundaria y mi anhelo es estudiar una Licenciatura en Artes Culinarias en The Culinary Institute of America, una de las instituciones culinarias más importantes en los Estados Unidos. Las artes culinarias van más allá de preparar un plato de comida, en realidad es una forma creativa y original de elaborar los alimentos y es precisamente eso, un arte. Además, nos enseña a conocer la cultura de diferentes países por medio de la comida, su sabor, su olor y todo lo que despierta nuestros sentidos y nos trasporta a esas culturas.

Recientemente tuve el honor de participar en “Skills USA Connecticut “ una competencia del más alto nivel donde participan todas las escuela técnicas de Connecticut en los Estados Unidos, donde obtuve el 1° lugar en la competencia culinaria.

Hoy quiero hacerte parte de ese sueño y por eso estoy escribiendo este post, quiero que me ayudes en la inversión de mi carrera universitaria y puedas donar lo que sientas en tu corazón para apoyarme en mis estudios.
