Hi All,
My name is Ebony and I am a 200 Hr E-RYT and the Founder of Empowered Rest Yoga. I am helping to raise funds to help the Nakujali Foundation raise money to build a center for children, women and other adult refugees to obtain resources for yoga, education, and advocacy to support their communities in need.
Nakujali Foundation is a transformative organization dedicated to driving lasting social change within refugee communities. We provide a supportive space for refugees and orphans, where they can heal, connect, and rebuild their lives with dignity. Through programs that incorporate yoga, art, and storytelling, we create opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and emotional healing. Our approach focuses on empowering individuals to overcome trauma and thrive, helping them regain their sense of hope and self-worth. We are committed to making a lasting impact by fostering an environment where everyone is valued and has the resources needed to flourish.
We are raising $7,000 to build a Nakujali Healing Center in the heart of Nakivale. This will be created by refugee hands, for refugee hearts.
The Center will feature:
1. The Yoga & Meditation Hall: A rain-proof, peaceful space for daily trauma healing.
2. The Advocacy Hub: A dedicated office to support the marginalized and discriminated groups in our community.
3. The Youth Innovation Space: Where I can mentor young refugee talents models, artists, and leaders to show the world that we are more than our displacement.
4. Sustainability Classroom: A place to teach climate-smart gardening and self-reliance.
Nakujali Foundation envisions a world where refugees and orphans live with dignity, opportunity, and hope—empowered to lead fulfilling lives. We strive to build a community where trauma is healed, resilience is nurtured, and each individual has access to the support and resources necessary to thrive.
