Our Story: South End Running Exchange

We’re raising funds to open South End Running Exchange, Seattle’s first inclusive running and community hub located in the heart of the South End.

What We’re Building: South End Running Exchange will be more than a running store, it will be a space for movement, connection, and belonging.
Our goal is to create a home where everyone: from lifelong runners to first-time walkers can find quality gear, community events, and inspiration to move.

Your support will help us fund: The build-out of our storefront in South Seattle, initial inventory of shoes, apparel, and wellness products. Community programs like youth gear drives, “Miles for the South End,” and free group runs. Workshops and events focused on wellness, training, and inclusion.

Why It Matters: Running can change lives, but not everyone has access to the gear, support, and spaces to get started. Too often, South Seattle residents, especially youth and underrepresented runners must travel miles north to find a store that understands their needs.

We believe movement is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we’re building a space that’s by and for the community a place that celebrates local culture, diversity, and South End pride. Every dollar raised helps us create programs that provide shoes to youth athletes, support inclusive events, and make wellness accessible to everyone.

How We’ll Make It Happen: We’ve already built the foundation through years of community work, coaching, and collaboration: Partnerships with local schools and track programs, collaboration with wellness businesses, a growing network of runners, families, and supporters from our local running groups and coaching groups.

With your help, we’ll secure our retail space, launch programming, and open our doors to the South End community in 2026.

Who We Are: We’re two South Seattle women, runners, and community builders.
Miran McCash, Co-Founder of CSRD (Club Seattle Runners Division), founder of ANA Run Coaching. Educator and Head Cross Country/ Track and Field Coach at Highline High School, and Amy DiTommaso, Co-Captain of Club Seattle Runners Division (CSRD), Co-founder of Mikkeller Run Club at Citi Field, Educator/Coach for 15+ years and avid volunteer for Bras for Girls.

We’ve spent years coaching, mentoring, and creating access to movement for youth and adults across the region.
Now, we’re ready to take the next stride by giving the South End a running home that reflects its people, energy, and heart.

Join the Movement: When you back this project, you’re not just helping open a store —
you’re helping build a legacy of access, representation, and health for South Seattle.

Together, we can make every stride count.
Run with us. Believe with us. Build with us.
