We are excited to share that four of our community organizers will be traveling to the Philippines together this summer to immerse ourselves with communities and grassroots activists who we’ve connected with throughout our shared years of grassroots organizing and international advocacy work.

We are asking you for your support in making this happen!

As organizers in the Filipino diaspora, we are travelling to the Philippines to facilitate connection between our communities in northern California and the communities we support in the Philippines. While we’re there, we will be learning first-hand about the environmental, economic, cultural and political situation of the people of the Philippines. We will bring these experiences back to our circles, meaning you! Taking the time to witness and understand the situation on the ground is one of the most common requests of the communities we are connected with in the Philippines. What we will see, learn, and experience, we will bring back with us to inform our organizing, and in how we intend to live the rest of our lives. We hope that we can bring these experiences back to you through stories, presentations, and other opportunities to educate and build international solidarity.

As members of the international community, we are asking for your compassion and your support in making this trip possible. Your contributions to this fundraiser will go towards covering travel costs, food, and lodging expenses. We are taking a significant amount of time off from our lives and our jobs to be able to fully immerse ourselves in this experience, so no amount is too little.
