“It is really important to see you out here doing what you are doing.”- Words sincerely uttered by a smiling woman passing me as I built a redwood cover up fence in San Francisco. These words have stuck with me and inspired me to proudly share my handiness with a humbling sense of representational duty. I now see my success as a cumulative creative liberation.
My name is Breck Omar Brunson and I design and build custom organizational pieces and playful decorative objects. This hands on practice has granted me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals from friends and family , other artists, and appreciative clients. It is a labor of love and a lifestyle of service.
After two decades of carpentry and artist growth I have come to the conviction that in order to sustain this artistic journey with transferable fervor I will need to become a business owner and acquire the proper tools and shop space of my own.
I have secured a 450 sqft space to outfit starting March 15th 2021. This foundation will permit me the opportunity to elevate my trade and provide work to a few kindred tradespeople.
Where your gracious donations will be spent.
I am asking for $30,000 to boost my chances of being a successful artistic business owner. This money will be spent on rent of my own shop space for one year, large and small tools to outfit the space, air filtration, a sturdy roof rack to carry lumber, business insurance, car expenses, accountant assistance, and other related fees such as a design worthy tablet and CAD(drafting) program subscription.
This ask is for those who can afford it. If you have lost employment or are feeling my same hardship, please don't feel pressure to donate. Simply sharing and spreading the word is helpful enough. I immensely appreciate of your donations and will work diligently to execute this creative endeavor with the intent to give back by helping others with similar ambitions.
