If you know Matt and me, you know that we love deeply, work hard, and pour ourselves into the life we’ve built together. We’ve always believed in creating a home rooted in love, creativity, and showing up for the people—and animals—we care about.

One thing we’ve always known is that we want to be parents.

After a lot of thought, prayer, and honest conversations, we’ve felt our hearts continually pulled toward infant adoption. This journey didn’t come lightly or quickly—it’s something we’ve come to with intention, hope, and so much love already waiting for a child we haven’t met yet.

As many of you know, our home is one of our favorite places. It’s filled with handmade projects, cozy corners, laughter, and a backyard that’s already full of life—especially thanks to our much-loved chickens. They’re a daily reminder of the joy found in caring for something outside of ourselves, and we already picture a little one toddling along behind us, collecting eggs, asking questions, and learning responsibility and gentleness right at home.

While adoption is a beautiful gift, it also comes with significant costs—home studies, agency and legal fees, travel, and post-placement requirements. We’ve been saving, planning, and doing everything we can, but we’ve reached a point where we need to ask for help from the community that knows us best.

Asking for help is humbling, but we believe families are built together.

We imagine the everyday moments—rocking a baby to sleep in our quiet home, bedtime stories after long days, messy kitchens, and teaching our child the values we hold close: kindness, hard work, faith, creativity, and love. Our home may not be perfect, but it is full of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

This child will grow up knowing how many people were cheering for them long before they ever arrived—how many hearts helped make their story possible.
