I’m in my first year as an independent author. It’s exciting, exhausting, and honestly a little overwhelming in the best and hardest ways at the same time.
Indie publishing gives me freedom to write across genres, build my series, and bring my ideas to life. But it also means I fund every single step on my own: ISBNs, character art, covers, formatting, physical copies for book festivals—all the behind-the-scenes pieces that make a book real. And as my opportunities grow, so do the costs.
I’m not asking for help lightly. I’m doing this because I want to build a sustainable creative career that doesn’t crumble under financial pressure. I want to keep releasing stories, keep showing up at events, keep expanding my catalog, and keep learning as I go.
There’s another layer to this journey, too. I’m carving out space in a publishing world that doesn’t always make the path easy for everyone. I’m not leading with that, but it’s a truth that sits in the background of my work. I’m committed to building something that lasts, something that brings more voices, stories, and worlds into the hands of readers who want them.
Your support helps me cover essential costs so I can keep moving forward without losing momentum. Even small amounts make a real difference. If you can contribute, thank you. If you can share the link, thank you. If you’re simply cheering me on, thank you for that too.
This is the beginning of my author journey, and I’m grateful to have you here with me.
