Building Mirella Dreams for low income Familes
Donation protected
Hi My name is Mirella Olvera and I am building “Mirella Dreams”.
We would like to share my dream with you. Since I was a child I have always found joy in helping people. Recently, I found a need that I can fill. There is a hospital (near where I grew up in Mexico, where many low-income families go for treatment. The patient can be hospitalized for many months. It often happens that family member of the patient have nowhere to go, so they sleep outside the hospital, many times with their children. I would like to offer a place for them to stay while waiting for their family member to recover.
A month ago, I used my saving to buy a house. It is in a good location near this hospital but requires modifications and additions. The architect quoted a price of two million pesos (which is equivalent to about $110K) for construction. Then we will need to buy beds and everything else that is needed.
We are working hard toward our goal to be able to provide relief for these families. We would like to provide a place to sleep and bath, along with a light breakfast and dinner. This would be at no cost to the families, this is not expensive and I know that God will help us, I am hoping that you can help me with this project, any amount would be appreciated. I apologize for asking, this is my first experience with fundraising.
Please do not feel obligated to help if you are not comfortable, I appreciate you taking the time to read my letter.
Sincerely,
Mirella Olvera
It is a dream and passion of mine to build this temporary stay homes where these people can shower and sleep and eat something while they have their loved ones staying in the hospital for long periods of time. They travel from far to being their family to seek care in the hospital but they are not allowed to stay inside, so they end up sleeping outside of the hospital in the cold weather & running out of money to eat even less be able to shower, it is very painful to see all
of these human beings out in the cold without anything to eat, So God has out my heart every time info to Mexico to feed them and give them clothes and some warm blankets so they can have at least something. But my dream is to build a safe Hostel, temporary rooms so they can stay there, eat, shower and Jane a safe place to sleep until their loved one gets out of the hospital, please help us teach the goal to build these temp homes for all of these beautiful human beings…
thank you for taking time to listen to my story and hope you can help
Sincerely
