Building Hope Brick by Brick

To all compassionate hearts and noble spirits,

I am Mohammed Al-Amoudi, the storyteller who fled with his family from northern Gaza to Deir Al-Balah in the south due to the ongoing war. I hope you receive this request and respond to my plea with hearts filled with mercy and a sense of humanity.

I am a proud father of my daughters, Mona and Mira. Mona, the beautiful little one, lost her room and beloved toys inside our home. She was supposed to enjoy preparing her room and getting ready to join preschool.

And then there's Mira, the brave little one who managed to learn to walk amidst the war surrounding us. She overcame great challenges and uttered her first words, filling my heart with pride and happiness.

I am grateful for every moment I spend with Mona and Mira. Their constant presence reminds me that love and family strength are the foundation for facing challenges. I will remain here to support and accompany them in every step they take in their lives.

I believe in the power of stories and their ability to turn pain into hope, which has driven me to make this appeal to you.

When I left my home and dreams, I found myself in a new community suffering from the effects of war. Despite my pain and difficulties, I did not lose hope. Instead, I wanted to contribute to rebuilding what the war had demolished, even if only in a small way.

I am here to present a hopeful request, asking for your assistance in realizing this vision. I specialize in storytelling and reviving imagination, and I have witnessed the impact of my stories on children experiencing conflicts and harsh conditions.

I need your financial support to provide the necessary materials for my storytelling performances, such as books, illustrations, and theatrical tools. Additionally, I need help securing venues for shows and gatherings in the camps, schools, and affected communities.

But my assistance doesn't end there. I also wish to develop workshops for children, where they can learn the art of storytelling, writing, and creative expression. These workshops can be an opportunity for them to develop their skills and uplift their affected spirits.

Imagine a moment with me, children sitting around me, their eyes shining with astonishment and anticipation as I narrate stories filled with adventure and hope. I envision their laughter and joy as they live in the world of imagination that I can create for them.

I know this request may seem grand and challenging, but I believe in the power of collaboration and collective effort to achieve it.

I would like to add another request to this appeal. In addition to supporting me in realizing my storytelling performances and workshops, I desperately need to rebuild my destroyed home and my writing studio.
