We are Simuka Africa Youth Association, a community-based organization in Norton, Zimbabwe. Our community faces deep and persistent poverty, with limited access to education, employment, and essential public services. Despite these challenges, local residents have shown remarkable strength and determination to build a better future.
Simuka Africa was founded by local residents determined to uplift their community through free educational programs, job training, after-school activities, and vital services such as birth certificate registration.
Our small library has become a cherished safe space—a community hub where children and adults can learn, connect, and grow. Its popularity has far exceeded our current capacity, and many more wish to benefit from its resources.
We are now coming together to build a larger library that will welcome everyone who seeks knowledge and opportunity. While community members have contributed what they can to begin the project, we urgently need additional support to complete construction—especially to pour the foundation before the upcoming rainy season.
