Build Hollinwood

Hollinwood Scout Camp  is a 30-acre woodland site in Salford, Greater Manchester, UK open to Scouts and Guides of all ages.  We aim to give children a safe, beautiful, and enjoyable place in which to learn skills for life in the outdoors.

The campsite is already making a difference to lives in Greater Manchester and the whole of the North West of England.  But to achieve its potential we are shifting up a gear and raising funds and momentum for our project.

We need to raise £1million in total.

-  £250k we hope we come from funding applications written by our team
-  £500k we hope will come from our Buy a Brick campaign which is open to businesses (see our webpage )
-  £250k from this page via individual personal donations.

£1million will mean we can Design and Construct 4 buildings, including services, water treatment and building regulations fit for 21st century Scouting.

Wet weather building
Office, Reception and indoor accommodation
Volunteer accommodation
Toilet and showering facilities

Many people will know that our old site, Middlewood Scout Camp, made way for the biggest gardening project in Europe - RHS Bridgewater.  This has left a massive hole in outdoor education in the City.  Throw Covid into the mix and it's clear that children in Salford need to be better served.

There has been a Scout campsite in Salford for well over 100 years and we would be devastated if this was to come to an end.

If you are reading this then we would be extremely grateful if you could give whatever you're able to.  Every single donation will make a difference to young people in Greater Manchester.

Further information can be found my emailing [email redacted].uk  - we would love to hear from you.

*Hollinwood Scout Camp operates under Greater Manchester West Scout County charity number
