Growing Pros*Lady Pros is a grassroots youth basketball Club based in Charles County, Maryland.
Growing pros was created to give young girls the same early athletic opportunities that boys receive - opportunities that simply do not exist in many communities.
While boys' basketball programs typically begin at 1st grade, the same program for girls does not begin until 4th grade, and even then, the opportunities are limited.
Rather than wait, our girls began competing in 2nd grade, and had to play against boys. The first year was challenging - in our first season, the Lady Pros lost all but one game, but they never quit.
After months of developing the girls' confidence, skills and discipline, the Lady Pros won all but one game capturing the Royals Future Ballers 6-8 Youth Division Championship, in their 3rd season.
Our mission goes far beyond the game. At Growing Pros, we teach our athletes that being a professional means more than talent—it means a lifelong commitment to skill, character, and ethics.
Along with athletic skills development, we emphasize kindness, teamwork, discipline and positive behavior. Through team building activities/trips to sporting events and shared experiences, the girls form strong bonds and a sense of sisterhood that builds lasting self-esteem.

Your support will help us not only sustain our current team, but also expand the "Growing Pros" program to reach more girls who are seeking early competitive training and positive development.
The funds raised through the campaign will cover annual program expenses, including: League & tournament fees; Team uniforms, practice gear and equipment; Gym rentals and training facilities; Transportation, team trips, and travel costs; insurance, registration; Player development and team enrichment activities.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward ensuring our girls have a safe, structures, and empowering environment to grow and compete.
