I hope this message finds you well. My name is Pastor David Smittkamp, and I am writing to share a profound opportunity for you to make a significant impact on countless lives through a groundbreaking initiative that I am leading. As the director of this major project, I am reaching out to invite you to be a part of a transformative endeavor spearheaded by Light to Life International Ministry.
We are on the brink of realizing a vision that will reshape the educational landscape in Kisii, Kenya. Our goal is to construct a cutting-edge, multi-purpose facility that will serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for many. Here’s an overview of what we are working to build:
A Comprehensive K-3 School: Our new facility will house a state-of-the-art school designed to educate 200 children. We are committed to ensuring that 100 of these students will receive full scholarships, providing them with high-quality education regardless of their financial situation. The remaining 100 students will attend as part of our private school program, which will help sustain the financial viability of the institution while also offering an exceptional educational experience.
A Daycare Center: This will be the only daycare center in Kisii County, filling a crucial gap in early childhood education and care. We understand the vital role that early education plays in a child’s development, and we aim to offer a nurturing environment where young children can begin their educational journey with the support they need.
Trade and Music Schools: Recognizing the diverse talents and interests within the community, our facility will also include specialized schools for trades and music. These programs will equip individuals with practical skills and creative abilities, opening doors to new career opportunities and personal growth.
A Home for Orphans: At the top level of our building, we will create a dedicated space for 60 orphans. This area will feature 30 rooms, with two children per room, separated into boys’ and girls’ dormitories. Our goal is to provide these children with a safe, supportive, and enriching environment where they can thrive both academically and personally.
We are incredibly fortunate to have secured a 265 x 70 foot piece of land for this project, which we own through Light to Life International Ministry. To date, we have made significant progress, including clearing the land and obtaining architectural renderings of our ambitious plan. A generous initial donation of $4,000 allowed us to take these critical first steps, but now we need your support to move forward with the construction and fully realize our vision.
As someone who has dedicated their life to serving others, I am deeply passionate about this project. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, my journey has led me to become a Pastor with a fervent desire to uplift the less fortunate and provide them with the best possible opportunities. This project is more than just a building; it is a lifeline for those who need it most and a testament to the power of community and compassion.
Your contribution will be instrumental in bringing this vision to life. We are seeking donations to fund the next phases of construction and development. A gift of $500 or more will not only help us make this dream a reality but also ensure that your name is honored on our Donors’ Hall of Fame. This recognition will remain as a lasting tribute to your generosity and commitment to making a difference in the lives of thousands.
We are at a crucial juncture, and your support can catalyze this project from a vision into a tangible, life-changing reality. By contributing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future for children and families in Kisii, Kenya, and help us create a legacy of hope and opportunity.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to be part of something truly special. Your support is not just a donation; it is a powerful statement of your belief in a better future for those who need it most. Together, we can build a brighter future and transform lives.
May you be blessed abundantly for your kindness and generosity.
Sincerely,
Pastor David Smittkamp
