Proposal for building a monastery at the Fazang Temple in New York to raise funds

Dear guardians of the Great Virtue, disciples of the Three Treasures, and faithful people from all walks of life:

尊敬的大德护法、三宝弟子及社会各界善信人士：

In July 2004, Master Faxing founded the Buddhist Monastery in Elmhurst, New York. Master Faxing and her believers practice Buddhism in the temple on every first and fifteenth of each lunar calendar month, weekends, and the Buddha and Bodhisattva Christmas.

Master Faxing applies the logic and wisdom of Buddhism to explain the cause of anxieties and problems from life, work, and environment and to offer guidance and compassionate comfort that encourages people to overcome difficulties with a positive and optimistic attitude.

在2004年7月，法性法师于美国纽约Elmhurst 创建了佛教寺院道场----法藏寺。每逢初一、十五、周末及佛菩萨圣诞，法师带领信众举行法会及佛学讲座，自2005年以来法师以（八关斋戒）（唯识）（百法）（八识规矩颂）（三主要道）（法华经）（楞严经） （六祖坛经）等开示，并以多元化方式弘扬佛法做到济世利生的事业。

This is our new temple, we need more generous donations to help us renovate this building so our members can have a safe space to worship.

這是我們的新寺廟，我們需要更多慷慨的捐款來幫助我們翻修這座建築，以便我們的會員可以有一個安全的修行地方。

Therefore, this temple has become people's spiritual home, a place where people can be healed and rejuvenated both physically and mentally. Due to the growth of believers, we desperately need a larger space to accommodate the need.

生活、工作、事业、感情及家庭等给人们带来诸多焦虑与困扰，法师以弘法之精神给予慈悲耐心的指导，使其运用智慧解决生活中的各种烦恼，以积极乐观的心态来面对人生，法藏寺成为了人们的心灵家园，在这里他们的身心得到放松，舒缓和治疗，并得到智慧的充电，成为他们继续前行的动力！随着信徒的不断增加，寺庙现有的空间已无法容纳更多信徒，为了能有一个大点的场所，便于佛弟子们修持和学习，急需扩建道场。

Hereby, Master Faxing and the disciples of Dharma Treasury Monastery are leading the effort to collect donations from charities or individuals to make the expansion happen. Since the cost to build is huge and beyond our own capability, we humbly ask each individual to pass this message to others and hopefully can contribute whatever amount you feel comfortable with. Any amount is greatly appreciated! This is a great opportunity to help spread the kind heart of Bodhi and accumulate good fortune that's blessed by Buddha in return.
