With so many of our children now schooling from home either full- or part-time the need for a quality work space is really important. Many children don't have access to a desk that can be placed in a quiet area of their home where they can focus and be efficient with their school work. We have seen several desk drives in different cities around the country and realized that we have the talent to do the same here in MN. To that end we are hoping to raise $1500 to help fund the building of 75 desks to donate to local schools so that they can be given to families in need of a desk for their children's work space.  

The desks we are building cost around $20 a piece to build. We have a team of people on standby ready to volunteer their time to do the build. The plan is to paint each desk a simple white so that the children that receive them can decorate them themselves if they would like. We are hoping to build the desks within the next couple weeks before it gets colder so that we can use an outdoor space for the process.
